Parent letter from Aug. 3, 2022:

Good afternoon, Virtual Academy Parent/Guardian, 

Monday, August 8, is the first day of instruction for the 2022-2023 School Year. 

To ensure your child is fully-enrolled and ready to start classes on day one, you will need to complete registration and pick up your child’s device packet/equipment this week. 

You can visit us at South Texas ISD Virtual Academy at any time between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. tomorrow, and 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday. If you would like to call to arrange your visit for registration and device pick-up, you are welcome to do that, or you can stop by at your earliest convenience.

We are located inside Portable Building #3 behind the South Texas ISD Central Administration Building, off of Mile 2 West in Mercedes. To get here, you can key in 100 Med High Dr., Mercedes, into your GPS, or follow the below directions:

Directions to South Texas ISD Virtual Academy – Portable #3 – from Expressway 83 (driving East):

• From Expressway 83, take the exit for Mile 2 West.
• Drive on the frontage road until you reach the light for Mile 2 West.
• Turn left and cross under the overpass. 
• Drive straight on Mile 2 West. You will pass the South Texas Independent School District Administration Building on the right (first entrance), but do not turn there.
• Take the second entrance and drive until you see the Security Guard booth on the right. Turn right into the parking lot just past the booth, and visit us in Portable #3. 

Directions to South Texas ISD Virtual Academy – Portable #3 – from Expressway 83 (driving West):

• From Expressway 83, take the exit for Mile 2 West.
• Drive on the frontage road until you reach the light for Mile 2 West.
• Turn right onto Mile 2 West. 
• Drive straight on Mile 2 West. You will pass the South Texas Independent School District Administration Building on the right (first entrance), but do not turn there.
• Take the second entrance and drive until you see the Security Guard booth on the right. Turn right into the parking lot just past the booth, and visit us in Portable #3.
